On 13th December 2025, New Acropolis main centre  hosted over 70 participants for an exploration of the rich symbolic tradition of Egypt. The talk titled “Symbols of Ancient Egypt: Encountering Life’s Mysteries” investigated the universal language of symbols as gates that reveal the invisible essence beyond the forms. The speaker highlighted the manner in which the pursuit of wisdom influenced all facets of life in Ancient Egypt – from their ethics and way of life to the civilization and monuments they constructed – always seeking to allow the deeper meaning express through the forms.

The speaker introduced the Scarab Beetle, a symbol of transformation, drawing a powerful parallel between this desert beetle that earns its wings through daily effort and the human potential to evolve and become like a radiant diamond undergoing heat and pressure in the process. Bringing these teachings to life, aspiring philosophers from the current Living Philosophy course stepped forward as volunteers to host the evening, bringing the philosophical spirit with meaningful interactions, and sharing their experience so far as they begin their journey of exploring philosophy as a way of life at New Acropolis.

Just like the Lotus that grows from the muddy waters towards the sun, the audience was reminded that we too are called to grow transform and touch our highest potential, regardless of our surroundings – turning ancient wisdom into practice.
