On 29 November 2025, New Acropolis main centre in Mumbai hosted a talk titled The Story of Troy: Meeting Life with a Spirit of Victory to look beyond the narrative story of the battle of Troy from ancient Greece.

The talk explored the legendary conflict in Greek mythology of the Trojan War, as a myth that highlights the internal conflict faced by all human beings. The speaker shared how each true warrior enters battle for a deeper reason, defending valid ideals love, dignity, the good of the whole.

Their journeys reveal that every character carries both virtues and weaknesses into battle. This was illustrated in a pivotal moment during the Trojan war where the hero Achilles takes the difficult decision to refuse to fight for King Agamemnon when he realizes that the reason for war has lost the pursuit of the noble cause and degraded to greed.

It was presented that for the true warrior-hero there are choices to be made, and to make the right choice is an internal idea where he must encounter his weaknesses and rely on his strengths. Hence the spirit of victory lies first in the inner battle.

This act, the speaker suggested, is a reminder that participation in any struggle — literal or metaphorical — must stem from conviction  rather than compromise.
The session urged participants to see Troy as a mirror to the internal wars we wage today: conflicts between ego and integrity, fear and courage, desire and responsibility.

Conflict, is sometimes unavoidable but our choices ultimately define who we become.
