In early 2017, New Acropolis conceived Empowering Real Change, an ongoing series of events to examine the journeys of leading change-makers, and to empower individual citizens to proactively participate in the vision of forging a better future.
The third and most recent project in the series commemorated the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. On 15th December 2018, a full-day conference Empowering Real Change: Leadership for a Better World was held in Mumbai, bringing together distinguished leaders from multiple fields, drawing inspiration from Gandhi’s relentless pursuit of truth . The event spearheaded a global celebration of Gandhi’s philosophical legacy, by calling upon our affiliate associations comprising over 500 centres across 60 countries, to investigate the need for ethical leadership as a means for forging sustainable change in our world today.
Over 200 events across 130 cities in 37 countries have been conducted over the course of last year, through lectures, discussions, cultural events, ecological activities, conferences, and exhibitions.
