In a thought-provoking interactive session New Acropolis Mumbai hosted a talk titled Ideas for Idealists: Towards a Better Tomorrow, on 5 July 2025. Participants explored the question: Who is an idealist?
The dialog revealed that idealism relates to the steadfast pursuit of principles rooted in values such as truth, beauty, justice, and goodness. Gandhi, Einstein, Tagore among others emerged as examples of idealists—individuals driven by a goal which is greater than themselves.
“Whether they were known in the fields of politics, science, or the arts, idealists were seen as visionaries who dared to imagine a better world and relentlessly pursued this goal.”
The speaker emphasized that solutions to even the most daunting challenges that we face individually and collectively begin with ourselves. The speaker also suggested the
“Spirit of Volunteering” – our innate ability too choose the right action, as a practical means to build inner strength.
The talk concluded with an invitation to walk the philosophical path, which is offered by New Acropolis. To make a consistent effort to improve ourselves, thereby positively impacting society and the world.
