About the artist & speakers

Bindhumalini Narayanaswamy

Bindhumalini Narayanaswamy is a singer and composer whose work bridges genres, traditions, and geographies. Known for setting mystic poetry to music, she has scored award-winning films in Tamil and Kannada, including Nathicharami, which earned her a National Award. In 2024, she received the META Award for Best Music and Sound Design. Her practice continues to grow through deep collaborations that bring music, poetry, and community together.

Gurupriya Atreya

Gurupriya Atreya is a singer, composer, voice artist, and arts curator rooted in Indian classical and semi-classical music. A disciple of Ustad Faiyaz Khan, she works across playback singing, commercial music, and voice-overs. Her debut as a composer for the Kannada short film Rasam won accolades at several film festivals. Through initiatives like The Living Room Kutcheri and community-driven arts programmes, she aims to connect people and cultures through music.

Anand Baskaran

Anand Baskaran is the Director of New Acropolis South Bangalore and a senior teacher with New Acropolis India since 2015. He leads talks, workshops, and programs on practical philosophy, emphasizing inner growth and meaningful action. Passionate about philosophical education, he believes it can inspire personal transformation and social harmony. Anand works professionally in digital learning and sees himself, above all, as a practical philosopher dedicated to living philosophy every day.

Amee Nagraj

Amee Nagraj is a senior member of New Acropolis Bangalore and an enabler of the New Acropolis Culture Circle, curating programs that explore timeless philosophy through art, culture, and community. A graphic designer and passionate student of philosophy, she brings creativity and depth to her work. Amee is also committed to inclusion, especially in integrating individuals with different abilities into society.
