Members of New Acropolis, together with senior teachers undertook a philosophical exploration in Nepal. The group included Fernand Schwarz, New Acropolis Coordinator for North West Europe and Head of the Hermes International Institute of Anthropology; Pierre Poulain, New Acropolis Coordinator for Africa, Asia and Oceania and a renowned photographer; and Yaron Barzilay, National Director and founder of New Acropolis India (North).
The journey was through historical sites in and around Kathmandu, including Boudhnath Stupa, Patan, Swayambhunath, Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple and many more. As philosophers, the exploration offered them a chance to discover the timeless values underlying temples, stupas, and sacred spaces. It was also a unique opportunity to experience the cross-cultural connections that both complement and coexist across traditions.
As an Acropolitan fraternity, the journey was filled with intimate and meaningful moments. Between the visits, travel, shared meals, anecdotes, and reflections, the experience became a truly uplifting philosophical exploration.
