105 members of new Acropolis Mumbai centre came together to mark summer solstice, a day of natural expression and transformation. The solstice, is traditionally recognized as a peak moment in the cycle of the Earth, and often accompanied by monsoon rains in Mumbai—symbolizing abundance and vitality.
“Celebrating the vibrancy visible in nature during this season, members reflected on the theme of transcending personal limits and embodying virtues in daily life. “
Drawing inspiration from ancient traditions, the celebration included circle dances by members, evoking the timeless image of communities gathering around a central fire.
Participants performed three distinct folk dances from across India: the Lai Haraoba dance of Manipur, the joyful Nati dance from Himachal Pradesh, and the spirited Garba of Gujarat.
As the evening progressed, the circle expanded—inviting all members to join in the Garba, elevating the collective energy and ending the event on a high note of rhythm, and celebration.
