New Acropolis Cultural Organisation in India recently launched a global publication highlighting 199 events organised across 130 cities in 37 countries as part of a global initiative honouring Mahatma Gandhi’s 150th birth anniversary. This initiative had kicked off in December 2018 with a day-long curated event held in Mumbai titled “Empowering Real Change : Leadership for a Better World”, attended by several leaders and distinguished change makers who in the spirit of Mahatma Gandhi have led by their example and made a sustainable difference in their respective fields of work. A resolution summarising key finds from this event was shared with affiliate associations compromising approximately 500 centres across 60 countries, to celebrate Gandhi’s philosophical legacy through cultural activities, conferences and exhibitions. Collaborations with 22 embassies and Ambassadors of India were held across Europe, Australia, and South America, showcasing that the need for Leadership based on the pursuit of Truth and human values is an essential ingredient in creating positive change.
